Want to find out about the history of your house or your neighborhood? Wonder if we have any records about your Wilmette ancestors? Writing an article or school report about local history? Just curious?
These are all good reasons to visit our Research Center on the Museum’s ground floor. There is no charge to use the center, and friendly Museum staff will be happy to help you find what you need. We don’t have a file on every house or every family, but over many years we’ve accumulated a vast amount of material – maps, photos, real estate records, newspaper clippings, and so on – that can be a big help to researchers of all kinds.
When you come to the Museum, tell us about your project and we’ll be glad to tell you what materials we have that might help answer your questions. If you have a complicated query, a phone call (847-853-7666) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) in advance of your visit will save time. We can also advise you about other research resources.
The Research Center is open Sunday through Thursday, 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., or by appointment.
