Kate Ranshaw, museum volunteer

Today was our last day to enjoy the company and the enormous help of one of our favorite people in the world: Kate Ranshaw, who has been volunteering with the Historical Museum since 2012. A retired teacher, Kate has been a godsend, cheerfully taking on Museum programs for visiting classes from the park district's kindergarten enrichment program and serving as a docent for our annual tours for Wilmette's second-graders.  The kids love her, and so do we.  Kate and her husband are retiring to the country, and our best wishes go with them.

Volunteers make the world go round here at the Museum, and have a lot of fun doing it.  If you're interested in volunteering, you can find out more about it, and fill out an application form, here.
