Jane Textor, the Museum's Costume Curator, demonstrated her enthusiasm for turn-of-the-century fashion during the Gibson Girl Tea. This sold-out event coincided with the Museum's current exhibit, The Gibson Girl in Wilmette. Ladies of all ages were treated to a traditional tea service featuring muffins, scones, tea sandwiches, petit-fours, tea cakes, bar cookies and, of course, tea! Textor gave a lively slideshow presentation of how Charles Dana Gibson's illustrations came to represent the "American girl to all the world".
