Bugs invaded the Historical Museum during Peggy Macnamara's Sunday afternoon presentation. Macnamara spoke to a capacity crowd in the Museum's elegant Great Hall. A gifted artist, Macnamara described her technique for creating vivid illustrations for the Field Museum of Natural History. Children were enthralled with the collection of bug specimens from the Field, not to mention the gummy worms on the refreshment table. Children were also able to "paint like Peggy" at the coloring table. Adults were able to peruse Macnamara's many works of art displayed around the room as well as get an autographed copy of her book, Illinois Insects and Spiders.
