Wilmette Planning Board

The Wilmette Planning Board was organized in 1946 with representatives from the Village Board, the School, Park, Playground, Recreation, and Library Boards, and a member-at-large from the Village. Its goal was to deal with the future needs of the Village as a whole, coordinating in one plan the specific needs of each organization represented. The Board issued several progress reports including "A Study of Wilmette" in 1946 and "General Plan Study of Wilmette" in 1952.
