Mr. J. Allan Pearson, a Kenilworth resident and founder of Pearson & Co., was the developer (or one of the developers) of the multi-listing system which began in 1941. Mr. Pearson retired in January, 1979 and donated the files from each village on the North Shore to its respective historical society.
