William Alexander Papers

William Alexander, a partner in the firm of Ashcraft, Olson, Beach, Alexander and Edmonds, was president of the Chicago Bar Association and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, The American Bar Association, and the Law Club of Chicago. He served as a Village Trustee from 1941-1945, and as President of the Wilmette Board of Trustees from 1945-1953. He was also a member of the Playground and Recreation Board for many years, and was instrumental in the formation of the Wilmette Planning Board and the Wilmette Historical Commission.
